Purchasing items via Facebook may soon be just as easy as liking your favorite band page or a friend’s photo. Facebook recently added payment features to its Messenger app – allowing users to connect debit cards to their account and transfer funds. Facebook is looking to increase the usage of consumers and is experimenting with a “buy button” (much like the “like” button) which would essentially allow users to buy items that pop up in their newsfeed. This and more changes are in store for the merging of ecommerce and social media.
